Makewell Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-11-07
Makewell is an iPhone app where you describe an app in plain English and an AI builds it for you to play, publish and remix. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. You can read it at makewell.rideaustudio.ca/privacy.html.
Makewell is operated by Keystone CRM ("we", "us"), based in Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect
Account information
- An anonymous account ID. Every user gets one by default, with no sign-up needed.
- Optionally, your email address if you sign in with a magic link.
- Optionally, your Sign in with Apple identity. We receive a user ID, and an email address or Apple private relay address only if you choose to share it.
- A username (generated for you, and you can edit it) and an optional avatar URL.
- A record that you accepted our terms, and when.
Content you create
- The prompts you type to build apps.
- The app code the AI generates, plus the version history of each app.
- App titles, descriptions, categories and icons.
- Your likes, reports and blocks.
- Saved data (key and value pairs) and leaderboard scores that apps you play create.
Usage and diagnostics
- Analytics events such as screen views, build started, build completed and purchase events. These are tied to your account ID and sent to PostHog.
- Your iOS identifier for vendor, which we use only to cap anonymous usage.
- Your push notification token, if you allow notifications.
- Counts of your AI builds and a ledger of your build credits.
Purchases
Apple and RevenueCat handle subscriptions. We store only
whether you are a Pro subscriber. We never see your card number.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your precise location,
contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health data or payment card numbers.
How we use it
- To run your account and let you sign in.
- To generate apps from your prompts and to check apps and prompts against our content rules.
- To host, show and share the apps you publish, and to power likes, reports, blocks, saved data and leaderboards.
- To limit free usage, apply build credits and confirm Pro status.
- To show ads on the free tier.
- To send push notifications you have allowed.
- To understand how the app is used, fix problems and improve it.
- To keep Makewell safe, handle reports and enforce our terms.
Who we share with

- RevenueCat and Apple handle purchases, subscriptions and free trials.
- Google AdMob serves ads in the free tier.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety of our users.
Advertising and tracking choices
The free tier shows banner ads on Home and Gallery, and optional rewarded video ads that earn extra builds. Ads come from Google AdMob.
- Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for your consent where required.
- Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether Makewell may track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- If you decline, you still see ads, but they are non-personalized.
- You can change your choices at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and through the privacy options in the app where offered.
Pro subscribers can use Makewell under the Pro plan terms shown in the app.
